Emily joined Edgeborough in Year 3 back in 2014, embarking on a journey that would lay the foundation for her impressive all-round achievements. Her time at the school was marked by a rich involvement in sports, music, and the arts. A true all-rounder, she played county netball and represented the school in all sports, performed in the Edgeborough Chamber Choir, and worked her way up through the LAMDA grades, as well as playing the violin and guitar. Emily’s dedication and versatility earned her a collection of accolades and excellent Common Entrance results when she graduated as part of the resilient “Covid Crew” in 2020.
Moving on to Wellington, Emily built on these firm foundations. She continued to shine academically, securing ten Grade 9s in her GCSEs by June 2023. Her passion for challenge extended beyond the classroom as she earned both her Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards, and is now pursuing her Gold. Emily has also continued with LAMDA and is currently working towards her Grade 8 qualification. In sports, she’s been a key player on Wellington’s first team netball and second team hockey teams. As she begins her final year, Emily has been chosen to be Head of College at Wellington, well deserved recognition for her achievements and positive attitude to life at Wellington.
Reflecting on her years at Edgeborough, Emily fondly shares, “I absolutely loved my time at Edgeborough! I always felt supported and encouraged to pursue whatever hobbies I wanted to try. It is an amazing school for all-rounders and such a friendly and happy place to grow up.”
Emily’s journey from Edgeborough to Wellington is a true testament to her dedication, talent, and the well-rounded foundation she received. We are incredibly proud to celebrate her accomplishments and look forward to seeing her future successes!
