Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David Attenborough! 🐢
Today, our Reception Class is joining the rest of the world in celebrating a true national treasure. To mark Sir David’s incredible centenary, our youngest learners have spent the last few weeks pouring their hearts into a very special project: “Our Big Book of Wonders.” This handmade book is a collection of the children’s favourite animals, featuring everything from “super-fast” cheetahs to “cuddly” penguins. Each page is filled with vibrant illustrations, handwritten messages about why they love the natural world and fun facts they’ve learned from watching Sir David’s documentaries.
Sir David has spent a century teaching us to love and protect our planet. By sending this book to him, our pupils are making a promise to be the next generation of nature protectors.
We are so proud of their hard work and their passion for the environment. We hope this gift brings a smile to Sir David’s face, just as he has brought the magic of the wild into our classrooms for decades. Happy Birthday, Sir David! Thank you for showing us the wonder of the world.
