At Edgeborough School, our exceptional sports coaching helps pupils compete at the highest level while developing teamwork, leadership, and resilience. Our recent success at the prestigious IAPS tournaments proves just how strong our sports programme is.
What Makes IAPS Tournaments So Important?
The Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) tournaments are among the most competitive in the country. Schools from across the UK send their top teams to compete. Playing in these events builds confidence, sharpens skills, and provides pupils with experience on a national stage.

Our U13 Boys’ Hockey Team dominated the IAPS Regionals at Charterhouse, winning all four group stage matches without conceding a goal. Their 6-0 quarter-final victory was a display of exceptional, selfless hockey. They won a tense semi-final before narrowly losing 2-1 in the final. Their outstanding performance secured them a place in the IAPS National Finals on 11th March at Merchant Taylors’ School.
