Last week, Edgeborough hosted a truly inspiring PSBQ Evening, where six pupils were selected to present their independent research projects. Each presentation highlighted the impressive range of topics our learners choose to explore, reflecting the curiosity and ambition that define the Edgeborough experience.
The PSBQ (Pre Senior Baccalaureate Qualification) is a key part of the PSB curriculum in UK independent schools. It gives Year 7 and 8 pupils the opportunity to undertake a self directed research project, develop independent thinking, and build the essential learning skills they will carry into senior school.
Our pupils delivered their work with maturity, courage and confidence, demonstrating the strength of Edgeborough’s PSPQ pathway and the school’s commitment to enquiry based learning.
We were also delighted to welcome Andrew Gist, one of the Trustees involved in awarding Edgeborough its Flagship Status. Having just received our Flagship status, the timing of this event could not have been better.
Many of the strengths identified during the audit, including the highly effective PSPQ pathway, were clearly on display throughout the evening.
A huge congratulations to all six presenters. Thanks also to Mrs Hendriksen and Mrs Thomas for all your passion and commitment to the PSB core programme and enabling such a wonderful opportunity.
