Year 4 Pupils Explore Coding with Micro:bits
Year 4 pupils at Edgeborough School are taking their first steps into coding with Micro:bits. These pocket-sized computers help them learn programming in a fun, hands-on way.
Designing and Coding Interactive Games
Pupils have been coding their own Micro:bit games. They chose between two exciting challenges—‘Bat and Ball’ or ‘Barrel Jumper’. Using an online coding platform, they programmed their games before downloading them onto a Micro:bit.
Hands-On Learning with Real Results
By testing their games on the Micro:bit, pupils see their code come to life. They make real-time adjustments, refining their problem-solving skills and improving their logical thinking.
Future-Ready Digital Skills
Learning to code builds confidence in technology. Pupils develop skills in computational thinking, creativity, and digital problem-solving. These are essential for future careers in technology, engineering, and game development.
The Edgeborough Advantage in STEM Education
At Edgeborough School, STEM learning is interactive and engaging. Our pupils gain practical experience with technology, preparing them for a digital future.
